I had the privilege of Interviewing Bobby East,a budding Zambian rapper who's single 'Ma Fyompebos' has been buzzing enough for me to check him out and find what more about Kanye-West-Inspired rapper (Download Ma Fyompebles Here)

deejaywolf : What are you working on right now?

Bobby East: I am currently working on an album with the other guys J.O.B, Flex and Franciar

deejay wolf: does it have a title?

Bobby East: well, we still haven't settled on one yet but it should be titled soon

deejaywolf: Any singles yet?

Bobby East: At the moment the ones that have been officially released, just Ma fyompebles and the one where my man flex featured, Umuzompiki, but I am dropping another one next week

deejaywolf: So are you calling yourselves a group or is this just a promo album to get your names out there?

Bobby East: Well, we have been working together, (Me, Franciar, J.O.B and Flex) for a while now and I guess I can say we are a team but we do work on most stuff individually

deejaywolf: It seems your songs are full of the latest slang lingo,what do the terms afyompebles and Muzompiki mean?

Bobby East: Lol, well Ma Fyompebles are things that can be Fyompad, hehehe and Umuzompiki is the love a guy has for his girl

deejaywolf: and since Franciar's hit single 'Umutokofyompo' came with this Kopala lingo,which I think you are familiar with can you tell me what Mutokofyompo and Mupandapwiti mean?

Bobby East : lol, Mutokofyompo is the love a gal has for her man, and its kinda slipped my mind wat mupandapwiti is... hehehe

deejaywolf: Well,lets let it pass for now,just wanted to clear the air. By the way,why the name Bobby East?

Bobby East: Well, Bobby comes from my name Robert and I have kinda always been called Bobby East from way back

Bobby East: Hahahaha, no man, definitely not Chipata!!! hehehe, well, it just started out in high School, I thought it went well with the Bobby, lol

deejaywolf: What label are you signed to?

Bobby East: We work with our man Blazer

deejaywolf: I hear Blazer has a studio in Lusaka we well,is that where you are based?

Bobby East: Yes my man, we are Lusaka based.

Whats Beef? General Kanene speaks on Slap Dee and Macky II Beef

I have finally gotten hands on all the diss songs that have been going back and forth between Macky II and Slap Dee since the Born and Bred Awards in November last year. In case you are wondering where this beef came from,it had been brewing on the low in 2009 when Slap Dee won an award and Macky II released '2010',a song where he accused the judges of being biased.Then in November 2011 Slap Dee won an award again and while receiving it,qouted Macky II's lines from the 2010 song,He specifically said 'Mu 2009 tinasamwa,namu 2010 tasamwa'. Three days later,Macky II realised 'I am Zed hip hop' a diss track aimed at Slap Dee and his XYZ Crew.The song features Macky II's young brother Chefy 187,a budding rapper whose punchlines you will want to recite. Download I am Zed Hip Hop Here Slap Dee tried to ignore the song but the fans who heard song coerced him to reply to the song and 3 months later,he came out with Chino Chaka,a 7 minute diss replay that failed to live up to the hype that the snippet of the song created 4 days before the song was released. The snippet was downloaded more than 2500 in its first 2 days after it was made available online. Download Chino Chaka here,then Macky II came out with 'Ask Them',another diss track that samples Michael Sata's voice on the chorus,download 'Ask Them' Here .

Slap dee went back in the booth to release Baja Balipaja,a second diss song aimed at Macky II. I must confess that after listening to this song,I felt that this was the song he was supposed to reply to Macky II's' I am Zed Hip Hop' and not 'Chino Chaka',download Baja Balipaja here and listen to Dee unleash his best diss song ever.

Baby Sawa Lele...Introducing Flavour

Here is a song that is on heavy rotation in the clubs and on people's phones. Its Flavour's 'Nwa Baby',the remix Sawa Lele,has overshadowed the original but its all in good light. its just a crazy song that you will put on repeat immediately. I heard this song in a tavern when I was waiting for transport at Muyobe Juma One in Mapaza and lucky for me the girl I was with had a laptop so I went to the barman and asked him if he could alloe me to rip the CD and in exchange I gave him B1's Pillow CD to play for his customers while I ripped the song. Then I just discovered that I have the original song in my collection on my 1Terabyte external hard disk.
